2017 House Build: Scott and Tara Konchek, and their three children, have been selected as our newest Habitat Partner Family. Their home will be the latest build in the Habitat Neighborhood on Helen Scott Drive, just off Route 31 north of Honor.
The site coordinator for this build is John Schaub, a licensed contractor, who has worked on several previous Habitat homes. Habitat depends upon volunteers from the community to help with construction. Construction hours will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00am-3:00pm. Occasional Saturday builds may be added. Persons or organizations willing to help are invited to call our Habitat Office, (231) 399-0300, or print and mail the Volunteer Form on this website to the Habitat Office.
Annual Dan Straubel Memorial Golf Outing: Golf Outing will take place on September 10, 2017 at Crystal Lake Golf Course in Beulah. Golf outing includes a pizza lunch prior to and dinner following a round of golf. Volunteers are needed for this event. Festival of Trees: Silent auction of wreathes and trees will be held November 25-26 at the Benzie Area Historical Museum in Benzonia. Volunteer prior to the event by donating live trees, decorating a wreath or tree, setting up displays, and/or obtaining items for the silent auction. Bulk Mailings: Volunteers are needed in the fall and spring to help out in the HFHBC office located on James St. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Frankfort. Tasks would be to fold, stuff and sort envelopes in preparation for mailing.
Habitat Restore: Volunteer duties include stocking, straightening stock, cleaning, and general store activities. Call Dawn at 231-325-7750 for more details.
